The topics of this edition of Generation Barents include education and work in the North and The Barents Youth Program. Education and work will be discussed together with university representatives and industry leaders. We’ll look at how our education aligns with job opportunities and discuss ways to solve common challenges through cross-border cooperation. Another theme discussed will be housing. Together with architect bureau future of living will be discussed. There will also be workshops and segments where participants get to concretize their ideas.
The Barents Youth Program is a strategic document guiding youth cooperation in the Barents Region, updated every three years. As the current program term ends in 2024, a new program will be drafted 2025-2027. During this edition of Generation Barents participants get to provide their input and discuss the priorities for the next term. Your ideas will help shape the future of youth cooperation in the Barents Region.
Participation is free but binding. There is a limited number of slots, so it is encouraged to register as soon as possible. Registration deadline is August 30th.
