The topics of this edition of Generation Barents included education and work in the North, as well as The Barents Youth Program. Education and work were discussed alongside university representatives and industry leaders. Participants looked at how education aligned with job opportunities and explored ways to address common challenges through cross-border cooperation. Another theme discussed was housing, with discussions on the future of living held in collaboration with an architectural bureau. There were also workshops and segments where participants had the chance to concretize their ideas.

The Barents Youth Program, a strategic document guiding youth cooperation in the Barents Region, is updated every three years. As the current program term was set to end in 2024, a new program would be drafted for 2025–2027. During that edition of Generation Barents, participants provided their input and discussed priorities for the next term. Their ideas help shape the future of youth cooperation in the Barents Region.
